Halloween Gala 2015

A quiet Sunday afternoon was disturbed by all manner of strange beings descending upon Rugby Thornfield as the club held its Halloween Gala. Twelve teams shambled up and down the green hoping to become the spooktacular champions.


The first round saw two sides register perfect scores, “Wasps” and “1+3” leading the way. “Speckled Hen” were one point behind with “3 plus 1” a further point back. Heading into the half-time break “Speckled Hen”, “3 plus 1” and “1+3” were four points clear of “Wasps” and “DR-sum-4-sum” with “Hooly Goolys” completing the top five.


“3 plus 1” led “1+3” by a point after three rounds had been played. “Speckled Hen” and “DR-sum-4-sum” were in joint third and “Hooly Goolys” still fifth. After a fun afternoon “3 plus 1” (Mandy Dahlgren, Pat Schofield, Pat Dahlgren and Colin Knapp) remained top on 28 points, “1+3” second on 23 points, “Pumpkin Patch” and “DR-sum-4-sum” joint third with 19 points and in joint fifth on 17 points were “Speckled Hen” and “Hooly Goolys”.
