Macmillan Cancer Support Gala - 15th October 2022

The Club kicked off their charity gala seasons with ten teams helping to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. An entertaining afternoon saw it go down to the wire to find out who would finish top.

A good opening game saw ‘Bilton Babes’ lead the way with ten points, just behind them on nine points were ‘The One That Got Away’, ‘Nomads’ and ‘The "P" Artists’. Completing the top five with eight points were ‘Sue's Superstars’. A perfect game meant that ‘Sue's Superstars’ jumped to the top of the table with nineteen points, one ahead of ‘Bilton Babes’. With sixteen points ‘The One That Got Away’ were third, three points ahead of ‘The "P" Artists’ who were in turn two points clear of ‘Green Giants’.

​In the last round of games it was ‘The One That Got Away’ that picked up all eleven points but had to settle for second place, a point behind the winners with twenty-eight points ‘Sue's Superstars’. A poor final game meant ‘Bilton Babes’ finished third on twenty points, one ahead of ‘We Don't Know What To Call Ourselves’ and ‘Green Giants’ in joint fourth.
