Air Ambulance Gala - 7th January 2023

The Club’s first charity gala of 2023 saw ten teams take to the green to raise funds for the Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance.

After the first round of games ‘All Stars’ and ‘Hit & Miss’ were joint first with ten points, ‘M&M’ were a point behind in third with ‘The January Crackers’ in fourth on eight points and fifth place with seven points were ‘Here Again’. Out of the five teams that won their opening game only one managed to also with their second game, ‘M&M’ now six points clear at the top, second place was shared between ‘All Stars’, ‘Missing Bill’ and ‘Hit & Miss’ who in turn were a point ahead of fifth place ‘Graham's Gentlemen & Pauline’.

A tight final game saw ‘M&M’ aka Jacob, Thomas and Adam Mills with Stuart Miles keep their 100% record, finishing first with twenty-six points. ‘Hit & Miss’ finished well but were five points back in second, two points ahead of third place ‘All Stars’. A point further back saw ‘Missing Bill’ and ‘Here Again’ finish in joint fourth.

Jacob Mills makes his U18 International debut in the series being held at Solihull Indoor BC from Friday 13th to Sunday 15th January 2023. The next charity gala is on Saturday 4th February in aid of Cancer Research UK and is open to members and non-members.
