Club Funds Gala - 3rd December 2022

The pre-Christmas gala at the club helps to raise funds for the various sections of the club. Fourteen teams took a break from Christmas shopping to try to earn the coveted spot at the top of the tree.

With one round of games played ‘Tony's Troopers’ held a one point lead over ‘Park Rangers’, ‘English + One’, ‘4 Block Heads’, ‘Who Are We’ and ‘Christmas Crackers’. With ‘The Holly Berries’ being the other team to win their opening game. Three teams broke clear from the pack with two games gone, ‘Park Rangers’ with nineteen points led ‘Christmas Crackers’ by a point, they in turn were a point ahead of third place ‘The Holly Berries’. Five points back in joint fourth were ‘The Misfits’, ‘Who Are We’ and ‘English + One’.

A good finish allowed ‘Christmas Crackers’ aka Caroline Walliss, Kim Gowdy, Fernando Miracco and Scott Walliss to take top spot with twenty-seven points, ‘Park Rangers’ had to settle for second place, two point behind the winners. Third place on twenty-three points were ‘The Holly Berries’, two points ahead of ‘Who Are We’ with ‘Santa's Hoooos’ and ‘Santa's Helpers’ in joint fifth on twenty points.
